An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded finance professional to join a respected national organisation in a key leadership role as Accounting & Reporting Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the GM – Corporate Services and as part of the management team, you will lead the accounting and reporting function, providing high-quality financial leadership, reporting, analysis and operational support to senior leadership, the Board and key stakeholders.
This appointment is being made on a 12-month fixed-term basis to provide organisational flexibility while potential changes across the business are worked through and future operating requirements are confirmed.
About the Role
This is a broad and hands-on finance leadership position with responsibility for the organisation’s financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, audit, compliance and financial governance activities, while leading a small finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and year-end financial reporting
- Cash flow forecasting, treasury management and financial analysis
- Oversight of audit, taxation, compliance and internal controls
- Supporting the Board, Audit & Risk Committee and senior leadership with timely reporting and insights
- Maintaining effective relationships with auditors, financial institutions, regulators and industry stakeholders
- Leading and supporting a small finance and administration team
- Contributing to systems, process improvement and broader organisational initiatives
About You
You will be a technically strong and commercially astute finance professional, ideally CA or CPA qualified, with experience in a senior accounting, reporting or finance leadership role within a complex environment.
You will bring strong capability across financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, audit and compliance, coupled with the confidence to provide trusted advice to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Just as importantly, you will possess the personal attributes to succeed in a collaborative environment — professionalism, resilience, sound judgement, attention to detail, strong communication skills and a practical, organised approach.
