Longbeach Holdings is a locally owned company with a global reach as a supplier of high-quality garments to a wide range of customers in both domestic and international markets.  Well-known brands include Swanndri, Line 7, Foil and Lania to name a few. 

Due to the impending retirement a position has become available for an experienced Shipping Officer to join the finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a full-time position.

The primary objective of the Shipping Officer is to ensure all necessary documentation and customs formalities are processed and completed to facilitate the prompt importation of all products, followed by planning and coordinating the timely delivery of all imported orders to the relevant warehouse or customer along with customer invoicing as required.

This is an important role that offers real ownership and autonomy where you will be able to manage your own workload and make the position your own. The key to the success of this role will be your organisational skills and attention to detail along with building strong relationships with suppliers, freight partners and internal staff.  Strong time management and organisation skills are a must as you will be juggling multiple tasks as well as taking responsibility for meeting deadlines.

In seeking applications for this position, we are looking for a confident, articulate communicator with proven experience.  You will have previous experience in an international shipping or logistics-based role and you will ideally hold a NZ Customs Accreditation. This is a busy team and as such you will be accurate and efficient with excellent attention to detail.  You will be proficient with accounting or ERP systems along with competency in the Microsoft Office suite.
