Building off a set of core values that are lived daily by the team and by ensuring strongly focused customer support, Farmgard have the opportunity to offer a senior sales role servicing and leveraging the lower South Island region.

With the Agricultural sector acknowledged to be leading the New Zealand economy in recovery, and spend on capital equipment on the rise, timing for generating new business with a well-respected supplier in the sector could not be better.

This role offers the opportunity to represent respected agricultural and capital equipment brands such as Abbey, Berti, Celli and others working directly with rural businesses and commercial contractors across one of New Zealand’s most productive regions.

With sustained market growth as a primary goal, this role will suit someone who thrives on hunting for new business and demonstrates a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships whilst also closing the opportunities. Farmgard support their dealer network by generating business directly with the end user and passing the opportunity for the sale back to the dealer. Hence you will be working with both end users and also a dealer network.

A background in Agricultural Machinery is preferable, but this will also suit someone coming from the large capital equipment sector. Your ability to analyse and read the market and market trends, understanding where the opportunity actually lies, and executing with a clear plan will be essential. Farmgard’s reputation has been built around the qualities of trust and honesty which will be fundamental principles for you. A good CRM system becomes invaluable in understanding your market base, therefore prior experience here will assist you greatly.
