This well-established South Island accounting and advisory firm is looking to add an Intermediate or Senior Accountant to their small, friendly Christchurch team. With offices across the region and a diverse client base ranging from small local businesses to larger, more complex organisations, this is a role where you’ll genuinely make an impact.

The Role:

You’ll work across a mix of compliance, management accounting and advisory work, supported by a wider South Island network of experienced Accountants.

• Preparing annual accounts, tax returns and compliance work
• Monthly and regular reporting for clients
• Building strong client relationships
• Using cloud systems and tools to streamline processes
• Supporting junior team members where needed
• Maintaining professional standards (CA/CPA or equivalent experience)

The Firm:

This is a tech forward, AI curious firm and the team is actively adopting AI and automation to evolve how they deliver services, from GST review to annual accounts review and workflow tools. They’re looking for someone who’s open minded, curious, and keen to use technology to keep improving what clients experience.

What you’ll bring

• At least 2–3+ years’ experience in annual accounts and tax
• CA/CPA qualified or working toward it (or equivalent experience)
• Strong Xero skills; CCH Workpapers/FYI Docs a bonus
• CA clear communicator who builds rapport easily
• A team oriented, proactive approach
