About the role
We are seeking a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join our client’s team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Business Partner plays a key role in the financial reporting, cashflow, budgeting and forecasting across the Group. You will prepare consolidated month-end results, provide performance insights, and contribute to ongoing financial improvement projects. This is a diverse, hands-on role with visibility across the Group. This is a 40 hour per week role and based in Heathcote Valley.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing full month-end close; journals, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis and capex reporting
- Manage cashflow and forecasting across multiple business units
- Manage and enhance the group consolidation process, including inter-company eliminations, multi-entity and multi-currency reporting
- Preparing accurate and timely consolidated financial monthly reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cashflow analysis
- Reviewing payroll, ensuring accurate calculations, timely payments, and compliance with PAYE and other statutory requirements
- Maintaining robust budgeting and forecasting models to support business planning and decision making
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies
- Accurately preparing and filing GST returns in compliance with statutory deadlines and regulations
- Managing timely payment of international inventory invoices
What we're looking for
- Experienced Accountant with 5+ years’ experience in management accounting within a multi-entity or consolidated group environment
- Strong Excel skills, with advanced capability preferred
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles, budgeting and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights
- Solid understanding of FX, manufacturing, inventory and confident using ERP systems
- Attention to detail is essential and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial management and reporting
