Mt. Beautiful Wines is a premium New Zealand winery in North Canterbury, producing elegant estate-grown wines including Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling. The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, this senior commercial role will develop and execute the trans-Tasman sales strategy, leading distributor partnerships, key retail relationships, and new market opportunities. While being based in Christchurch and close to the vineyard operations is an option, equally this role could be based closer to the key sales channels and distributors in Auckland, but either option will require regular travel across NZ and Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drive revenue growth and gross margin performance across all brands and channels
• Lead and develop distributor relationships and joint business plans
• Expand distribution via national retail listings and new market opportunities
• Develop sales strategy, pricing architecture, and demand forecasting
• Identify opportunities across on-premise and off-premise channels
• Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team on commercial strategy

About You

You are a commercially minded sales leader with a proven track record in building brands and growing revenue in competitive markets. You will bring:

• Experience in wine or FMCG beverage sales
• Proven ability to grow revenue and expand distribution
• Expertise managing distributors and key retail accounts
• Strong commercial acumen and P&L understanding
• Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and leadership skills
• A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach and drive to succeed
