Stihl Shop Fosters is a well-established brand, selling and servicing the leading range of Stihl chainsaws & power equipment, along with other associated outdoor equipment, including the Weber BBQ range. With three retail operations based in Sockburn, Northwood and Rangiora, their market reach is second to none and with continued investment and through a strong commitment to customer service they will continue to expand and develop the business.
The Sales Manager is an integral part of the leadership team and will work with the Directors to create and then implement sales & marketing plans for the group. At a strategic level the focus is on communicating their brand story, while continuing to deliver revenue and margin growth. Supported by three Branch Managers and two field based Representatives the role is actively engaged in coaching and supporting the team, as well as managing the relationships with key suppliers, so does have a significant commercial management component. Experience in leveraging social media as part of marketing/advertising planning is also a key prerequisite.
We view this position as an exciting opportunity for candidates who have established themselves in sales leadership roles, so you need to be a self-starter who can coach and develop others to succeed and get the best out of your team. This proven sales & marketing experience needs to be balanced against personal qualities that should include a strong focus on continuous improvement, good organisational & planning skills and a “nothing's a problem” attitude that will provide a pathway to developing the role further at a management level.
