About The Role:

The Financial Accountant is key in providing accounting support to the business.  Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role has a strong focus on the accounting functions as they relate to inventory management, production costs and product costing, as well as providing accounting support across the finance team and ad-hoc value-add opportunities to support the wider business.

There will be a varied workload as you support the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts, reporting packs for the parent entity, statutory returns and annual financial statement preparation. This role will expose you to all areas of accounting and will enable you to grow your commercial understanding.  A background in audit is highly desirable along with some exposure to manufacturing companies. 

About You:

To be successful, you will have an inquisitive nature and will be a natural problem solver. You will have the confidence to get up from your desk and get out into the business to unravel any stock discrepancies and to dig into the processes to ensure accuracy and continuous improvement. You will thrive on getting involved in a variety of tasks, happy to pitch in and roll your sleeves up to help in different areas of the finance function. You will be hungry to learn, showing the ability to build relationships across the wider business. You will ideally be recently CA qualified, and you may be from an audit background where you have worked with manufacturing clients, or from a business advisory background with a genuine interest in working in the manufacturing sector. You might even still be part way through your CA qualification but you’re so keen to get out into a commercial role that you’re ready to get started now.
