The role of Production Team Leader is to drive productivity, quality and excellence by ensuring clarity around the goals that need to operate within a supportive culture that also recognises the purpose of improving lives and fulfilling the promise. Key tools within your tool box will include some knowledge and or interest in ‘Lean’ principals for manufacturing a committed philosophy of continuous improvement and as part of this an openness to Innovation.

With support from the Production Supervisor, as a leader you will look to engage and cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment where the wellbeing and continued development of your team is important to you. Your nature will be to support, coach and guide in a way that grows knowledge, ‘know how’ and skill, thereby lifting performance. At the practical end, you will complete the production planning process by scheduling work and assigning tasks and you will support success by measuring performance and outcomes.

Meeting commitments to customers is important, achieving this in an environment where your people stay safe and the quality of what you produce is part of the continuous improvement process requires your team to understand and focus on the customer and the purpose of SPEX.
