The Opportunity
The National Livestock Manager oversees and manages the procurement of Livestock from across the country. Your role is supported by a North Island Manager, and you will have a close working relationship with Marketing and Operations to ensure efficiencies and optimisation of stock flows to meet customer demand.      

Developing and negotiating supply contracts reflects a key operational aspect of your role. The ability to optimise and grow the supply base relies on developing loyal relationships that have the hall mark of longevity. This implies strong interpersonal and relationship skills underpinned by efficient communication but more importantly the ability to understand and empathise with your farmer supply base.   

Developing a reliable supplier base will facilitate supply meeting demand and effective co-ordination around the flow of stock into processing.   

This is  a strongly commercial role that will have bearing and influence on profitability and success, hence the requirement for commercial acumen, ability to accurately budget and forecast and your analytical skills become key tools in co-ordinating with the other key activities of the business.   

This is both a senior and key role and a real opportunity to influence and grow success.
