This organisation, a well-established corporate is an industry leader in its field and is currently in growth mode. Due to a resignation, an opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Manager to join their successful team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will supervise the daily activities of a team of five experienced Payroll Officers, offering advice for any queries or issues and providing solutions and problem solving. Each Payroll Officer is responsible for processing a payroll of between 500-600 employees across a number of branches throughout NZ, using IMS Payroll and the Time Target workforce management system. You will be responsible for ensuring all payrolls are compliant with current legislation, identifying any future areas of risk as well as ensuring any issues are dealt with efficiently as they arise.

To be successful in this role you will have a good base of technical payroll experience under your belt as well as being deadline driven, goal oriented and able to build rapport within the business. You will have previous experience managing a team and you will be confident enough to manage any differences in opinion with a calm and mature approach, all while maintaining your sense of humour. You will use your initiative to drive continuous improvement and will be willing to roll up your sleeves and help your team achieve the common goal of providing the most efficient and accurate service possible.
