Are you a qualified accountant looking for a role where you can keep learning, broaden your experience and build your career?

As an Operational Accountant at Orion, you’ll work across a diverse range of accounting activities, gaining exposure to technical accounting, tax, financial reporting, asset accounting, audit and operational finance. You’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals and teams across Orion, giving you the opportunity to learn from others, take on new challenges and develop a broader understanding of how finance supports a complex infrastructure business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys asking questions, solving problems and finding better ways of doing things. You’ll have opportunities to develop your capability in:

• Technical accounting, tax and financial reporting
• Asset accounting and capitalisation
• Audit and regulatory requirements
• Operational and commercial finance
• AI, automation and continuous improvement

You’ll also provide support across different areas of Finance, giving you valuable exposure beyond your core responsibilities.

About you

You’ll be a CA-qualified accountant (or equivalent) with around 4–6 years’ post-qualification experience. You’ll bring strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail and analytical skills, but just as importantly, curiosity and a genuine appetite to learn. Experience in sectors related to infrastructure is advantageous, but we’re interested in people who want to grow their knowledge and take on new challenges.
