Our client is a Christchurch based subsidiary of a larger offshore corporate that sources and produces high quality products for distribution across New Zealand. It has well established retail sales channels to market and is continuing to look for new growth opportunities.
This is a broad ranging accounting, business performance reporting and financial administration role that reports to the Regional CFO but also works as part of the local management team. This role is still quite hands on and the key responsibilities will include supervising and managing the accounts processing, control of the general ledger, including all account reconciliations, cash flow reporting, tax compliance including GST returns and the preparation of month end financial and management reporting.
We view this position as ideally suiting a range of candidates who will bring a combination of tertiary qualifications and practical experience that has been gained in either the chartered accounting and/or the commercial sector. Working as part of a cohesive team you will play a central role in supporting the business and with this will come other opportunities to grow and gain further experience. Strong interpersonal skills, a high level of computer literacy, good attention to detail, a proactive approach and a capacity for hard work are also important prerequisites.
The remuneration is attractive and as indicated there is further scope for development.
