With a new GM - Finance in place, someone focused on strengthening systems, improving transparency, and driving continuous improvement, an opportunity exists for a Finance Business Analyst to join the team on a fixed term basis. This role will support a number of projects designed to lift the quality, reliability, and usability of financial information across the organisation. The environment is collaborative, people centred, and mission driven.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the GM - Finance, you’ll help build more seamless, accurate and insightful financial processes and reporting frameworks. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong accounting background who is able to help map out how things work today, and design better ways of working for tomorrow.

Your initial focus areas will include:

• Analysing current payroll reporting requirements and designing improved reporting solutions
• Reviewing existing financial and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Documenting current (“as-is”) processes and developing improved (“to-be”) process maps and workflows
• Assisting with ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support management decision making

About You

Because the bulk of the project work is centred around financial processes, reporting, and payroll related analysis, you’ll bring a solid accounting background, with experience in financial reporting and management accounting. You’ll be comfortable working with numbers, systems, and processes, and translating financial information into clear insights and practical recommendations.

You may be in between accounting roles and have always enjoyed the project work that comes with working in a finance team, and you’d like to build on your business analysis experience. You don’t need to be a Senior Business Analyst for this role, but you do need to have gained exposure to a variety of different financial processes and you know what “good” looks like.

You’ll also bring strong analytical capability and a structured approach to problem solving as well as confidence engaging with stakeholders across finance, operations, and people functions.
