The Abbott Group specialises in all aspects of risk analysis, insurance and claims management for corporate, commercial and personal clients, supported by a nationwide network of seven offices. With a 40-year track record of growth, much of the Group’s success has been built on client referrals — a testament to the capability, commitment and relationships of its people. The Abbott team takes pride in its technical expertise, strong client relationships and commitment to advocating for clients when they need support most — at the time of a claim.
As the business continues to grow, The Abbott Group is looking for an experienced HR Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening leadership capability, improving team performance and building on the culture that underpins its success.
This is a hands-on, business partnering role that combines strategic HR leadership with practical support and coaching for the Executive and Managers. Working closely with the leadership team, you will help build organisational capability and foster a high-performance culture where people understand expectations, are supported to develop and are accountable for delivering results.
A key focus will be partnering with Managers to strengthen their people leadership skills, build confidence in managing performance, address underperformance constructively and develop their teams to reach their full potential. You will also contribute to organisational planning and capability development, helping ensure the business has the right people, skills and structures to support its continued growth.
Alongside this leadership focus, you will lead the ongoing development and implementation of effective HR frameworks, policies and processes that enable consistent, confident people management across the business. You will oversee the delivery of key HR initiatives, including recruitment and retention strategies, learning and development, performance management and employee engagement, ensuring the Group continues to attract, develop and retain the talent it needs for the future.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced HR practitioner who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level. You will bring strong business partnering skills, commercial acumen and a genuine passion for helping leaders and teams perform at their best. Collaborative and consultative by nature, you will also have the confidence to challenge thinking, influence decision-making and provide pragmatic advice when it matters.
This is an opportunity for a proactive, self-driven HR professional who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day realities of people management while also shaping longer-term strategy. You will work alongside an engaged Executive and leadership team, with the scope to make a meaningful impact on leadership effectiveness, organisational capability and the culture of a well-established and growing business.
If you are passionate about building great leaders, enabling high-performing teams and making a tangible difference to business success, this is an opportunity to make your mark.
