For more than 45 years, Salisbury Street Foundation (SSF) has supported men released from prison to successfully rehabilitate and reintegrate into the community. With a strong governance framework, experienced leadership, and highly regarded clinical management, SSF is well-positioned to continue delivering impactful programmes and further develop its residential services.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive will lead the organisation through its next stage of growth. Working closely with the Clinical Manager, you will ensure programmes are delivered in line with SSF’s philosophies, while also strengthening the organisation’s capacity and reach. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, engagement with Te Ao Māori, financial and risk management, contract oversight, HR and policy development, property management, and other non-clinical functions. The Chief Executive will also play a central role in representing SSF and building strong partnerships with the Department of Corrections, iwi, funding partners, and wider stakeholders.

This role calls for a collaborative and hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a small, committed team, while also bringing the vision to chart SSF’s future direction. Strong relationship management and influencing skills are essential, along with proven capability in financial, risk, and contract management. You will be supported by a well-established governance and clinical framework, enabling you to focus on leading the organisation into its next chapter.
