About the role:
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you’ll provide accounting and payroll support to various entities within the group. This role is designed to evolve — beginning with core processing tasks, but progressing toward ownership of monthly accounting processes and reporting responsibilities.
You'll gain exposure across multiple areas including payroll, month-end processes, GST returns, business system migration, and project accounting for some property developments
Key responsibilities:
- Process daily bank transactions and support cash flow forecasting
- Manage accounts payable and assist in preparing GST returns
- Run payroll and provide backup support across other group entities
- Assist with month-end close, reporting, and reconciliations
- Work with the Finance Manager on property management and development of cost tracking
- Support business system transitions, including MYOB cloud migration
What you’ll bring:
- Accounting experience with some exposure to general ledger, GST, and payroll
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting software (experience with MYOB a plus)
- A team-focused attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow alongside the business
- Ideally, some level of accounting qualification, and if you are still studying we can support you with that
