The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional reporting role. You'll play a key part in Group reporting and consolidations while also developing relationships across the wider business to understand performance, risks and opportunities. The role offers exposure to a complex global group structure, multiple entities, multiple currencies, joint ventures and a range of technical accounting issues.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with Group consolidated annual and interim financial reporting under NZ IFRS
• Supporting the Group consolidation process across multiple business units
• Assisting with technical accounting matters, including IFRS analysis, lease accounting and hedge accounting
• Contributing to monthly Group management reporting and treasury reporting
• Supporting bank covenant reporting and compliance requirements
• Working alongside the external auditors and assisting with statutory reporting requirements
• Providing support across Group tax compliance activities
• Building strong relationships with operating businesses to understand key business drivers, risks and opportunities.

About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates who are CA qualified (or equivalent) and have developed strong financial reporting and technical accounting capability.

This could suit:

• A first mover from a Chartered Accounting firm who has worked with larger multi-entity groups, consolidations and listed company clients; or
• An Accountant already in a commercial environment who is looking for greater complexity, broader exposure and the opportunity to work within a sophisticated Group Finance function.
