The Organisation
This is a well-established Christchurch based company that is an industry leader who continues to expand through a strong commitment to longer term investment strategies, while working in partnership with its customers.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant is a key role as part of a small finance and administration team, and is focussed on the delivery of the month end accounting and reporting processes, while supporting the accounts processing function. Responsibilities will include some of the month end reconciliations and assisting in drafting of the month end financial accounts, along with forecasting and fixed assets. Opportunities to be involved in projects such as the ongoing development of information systems will also offer the opportunity to extend your accounting experience.

The Person
We view this position as ideally suiting someone who is BCom qualified and/or an Accounting Technician/Part-qualified Accountant, who has gained a solid base of accounting experience in either the chartered accounting and or commercial sectors, to now further develop their career in a more broadly based company accounting role. Strong interpersonal skills, good levels of computer literacy including advanced spread sheet skills, a positive approach and a willingness to learn and develop the role further are also important prerequisites.
