Your role has the opportunity to be directly involved in one of the largest collections of Transport projects in the region, working with and providing technical solutions within a key stake holder group that includes Waka Kotahi. Your technical input will also be required on other key infrastructure projects aimed to improve services and address pending changes to how infrastructural assets are managed in the future. The inputs you will provide will range from investment planning and business case scoping support of projects through to technical support and assurance of the design and construction phases of assigned projects
For the level of contribution and representation required, you will hold an appropriate tertiary level degree (Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or equivalent) together with 7-10 years of experience in planning and design around infrastructure for Transportation in particular. This will need to be supported by formal training and or qualification in Project Management. Based on your close involvement on behalf of QLDC, demonstrating strong technical competence, negotiation and commercial skills will be important as will your ability to develop a risk profile with an appropriate mitigation strategy.
