Ravensdown Environmental provides cost recoverable consultancy services to support farmers to achieve the environmental and sustainability goals for their farming businesses. Due to strategic growth, there is now an opportunity for an experienced Principal Consultant to help take Ravensdown Environmental next level.
Reporting to the Managing Principal this key role will be Canterbury based and responsible for developing capability within the current national team while building capacity to meet growing demand for specialist farm environmental advice.
You will be an experienced operator with strong commercial acumen who builds credibility through your knowledge and skillset. Able to be strategic with an eye to the future, you will be somebody who enjoys fostering collaboration between internal and external parties and agile and able to rapidly adapt to changing environments and seek new opportunities.
The role:
- Responsible for operational management and business growth for the environmental advisory service
- Represent the Environmental Consultancy to the internal and external stakeholder base
- Deliver a service offering that is agile to the changing needs of customers and key stakeholders
- Identify new opportunities and market trends for business growth and increase of regional service offering as per business objectives
- Managing a range of complex customer projects through to quality outcomes
Background and Skills:
- Relevant degree level qualification
- Experience working in environmental management and/ or agriculture
- Proven ability of working within high performing teams and delivering business objectives to deadline
- Solid understanding of regional plans and sound knowledge of farming systems
- Track record of identifying new business opportunities and providing commercially oriented consulting services
- Understanding of current environmental legislative and regulatory requirements that impact farmers
- Ability to identify and mitigate environmental risk and provide practical solutions to clients
- Passionate about making a difference for New Zealand’s agricultural sector
