With significant operations in New Zealand and India and representation around the globe Winseed are investing in both infrastructure and resource to commercialise and leverage their growing range of product to a growing customer base.
Head of Product is a new role that will lead the strategic focus and manage the full Life Cycle of Research and Product Development, from Concept through to Commercialisation. As such this role will be the key link between the Market, Breeding and Research, Sales and Business Development, and the Supply Chain teams. Reporting to the Managing Director your role will sit in the Executive team with the goal of delivering better vegetable seed varieties that will add real value to health and nutrition around the world.
A strong background in R&D and/or Product Development and Management which evidences success in market research and evaluation, preferably in the Horticultural /Agricultural sector is a pre-requisite for this role. Given this role’s pivotal nature, you will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to bring understanding to concept that in turn provides a clear picture and path for successful commercialisation of product based on a validated demand. Success will be underpinned by a strategic mind and approach that understands the commercial imperative.
